Current AIM-verse notwithstanding and explanations out of the way, Clearwater Aoko would be... kind of at a loss, really. On the one hand, all of her usual "HURT PERSON MUST COMFORT" buttons would be mashed, but on the other, it's one of her alternates, which she doesn't really have all that much experience with. On top of that, Thusia Aoko is actually older than her, so Clearwater feels kind out of her depth and naive and less capable than her strong impressive police officer self, except that strong officer self is having breakdowns and oh no oh no what do I do /)_(\
Clearwater Aoko is more than willing to offer hugs and clinging, but she's having all the unsettling Feelings and can't come up with any advice. But at the same time Thusia Aoko feels a little more secure unburdening herself on... well, herself, and a version of herself that she doesn't have to worry about guilting or having to deal with back home, unlike Kaito (or if she ran into Keiko, her dad, etc.).
So Thusia Aoko just cries about everything forever and gets out some of the things she's never talked about ever and Clearwater Aoko winds up crying too and N-NOT A LOT OF PROGRESS IS HAD but there's at least a little bit in that Thusia Aoko exorcises a few of her demons. And then she pulls herself back together again and goes on being an officer and dealing with Kaito as best she can, and Clearwater Aoko goes off to feel terrible and uncertain and cling to her own Kaito while trying not to feel guilty about having him.

FUN TIMES FOR EVERYONE.
